Dear
Friends,
On Saturday, May 28,
our family and friends said Good-bye to my brother Scott. We held
his hand and we sang to him. We told him stories
and promised never to forget him. He promised Dad he would say Hello
to his grandparents and he promised the family he would say Hello
to his cousin Skipper. He was not in any pain, continually smiling
and winking at all of the people who came to see him, and -- believe
me -- a lot of people came to see him. And he loved every minute
of it :>)
My heart is beyond heavy
and I am not sure if I will ever make sense of this terrible loss
but I do know one thing -- I will forever feel blessed for having
been there with Scott those past few days, for sharing so many
smiles and stories and for having the opportunity to tell him how
much I love him. And more than anything, to be there for him, along
with so many family members and friends, when he had to go.

The
past nine months have not been easy for our family. Without all
of the wonderful support, love
and prayers from our friends (that would be you) it would have been
unbearable. I believe there is one (and only one) good thing that
comes from a situation like Scott's and that is the opportunity it
gives us all to be good and caring and kind. And perhaps a reminder
to live more in the moment, too. (O.K., that's two good things.)
Scott didn't need a reminder -- he believed in taking care of people;
in looking out for one another. And he always lived in the moment,
flying by the seat of his pants, with a big, fat grin on his face
:>)
Here's to Scott!
We'll be having a memorial
service to celebrate Scott's life at the Shepherd of the Lake Church,
13760 McKenna Road, NW, Prior Lake,
MN (just outside of MPLS) on Friday, June 10th at 1pm. A college
fund (see obituary below) will be set up for Scott's children. There
will be more information regarding this on my website soon.
A heartfelt thank you for all of your prayers and support. Love,
Terri
